Take a Cruise Vacation to the Caribbean

During the winter season, a lot more people tend to book Caribbean cruise vacations, mainly because they want to experience a warmer climate and get away from the dreaded cold weather back home. Regardless of what you are trying to escape, the good news is you can book your cruise vacation to the Caribbean anytime throughout the year. So if you are not keen on going during the winter season, why not book during the summer, after all, this is the best time to go bargain hunting.

Among the choice of cruise lines to choose from are,  the Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Lines,  Crystal Cruise Lines and Seabourn Cruise lines.

The Royal Caribbean Cruise lines sail to the Eastern, Southern and Western Caribbean. For example, The Radiance of the Seas sails round trip from Fort Lauderdale to San Juan (Puerto Rico) to Philipsburg (St Maarten), to Charlotte Amalie (St Thomas) and then on to Nassau (Bahamas). You can book for just a few days or up to a couple of weeks.

The Norwegian Cruise lines offer a similar itinerary as the Royal Caribbean. As you can choose a three day, seven days or fifteen-day package to the Western Caribbean, Eastern Caribbean, and Southern Caribbean.

Crystal Cruise Lines has one package which lasts for 12 days. You can depart from New York, then on to Hamilton (Bermuda), then Philipsburg (St. Maarten), St John's (Antigua), Willemstad (Curacao), Georgetown (Grand Cayman) and disembark in Miami.

If you have a limited budget then Seabourn Cruise Line is a good choice as it is more affordable and you would feel as if you are cruising on a private yacht. They offer two package deals,  that last 7 or 13 days. You can embark in Fort Lauderdale or New York City and visit places like Castries  (St Lucia), Bridgetown (Barbados) and Basseterre (St Kitts and Nevis).

One thing for sure your vacation would be one you would never forget.  As you are able to enjoy the abundant, delicious food, spa treatments, and entertainment onboard these ships, along with activities you can do on each island such as scuba diving, snorkeling, nature walking, and catamaran sailing.

There are also several festivals in January, February, November or December you would want to experience. For instance, the Aruba Carnival Celebration, the Barbados Jazz Festival, St Vincent and the Grenadines Mustique Blues Festival, Bob Marley Week in Jamaica, Anguilla Tranquility Jazz Festival, Bahamas International Film Festival, and St. Nicholas Day in the Dutch Caribbean and many others throughout the year. There would never be a dull moment.

Be sure to ask your travel agent or research online about these Cruise lines. So you can see more about their scheduled trips, find out what is included in their packages and compare prices.

A  cruise vacation to the Caribbean is one of the best destinations to go for your honeymoon, your anniversary or if you just need time away from it all.  You would certainly come back, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Ideal Locations In Orlando

Where to Stay in Orlando

Orlando has six different areas where people can look for a place to stay after a long and adventurous day of tripping to theme parks and recreational spots all over the place. It is quite a confusing task to deal with, so here are some ideas that may help you choose the best place that will suit your vacation needs while you are in the family entertainment capital of the world.

WonderWorks Orlando

South of Disney or Highway 192

Over the years, this highway has been a well-known destination for many tourists visiting Orlando. With many restaurants, good golf courses, and family attractions, visitors consider this area suitable for finding hotel accommodations. Prices of the hotels are less expensive in comparison to other hotels in other areas. However, the structures are quite old since most of them were built in the late 1970s and many of the hotels located here are not connected with national brands.

North of Disney World

It is also called the Lake Buena Vista area which is the newest spot to look for places to stay in Orlando. The hotels in this region were built in the early 1990s and mostly associated with national brands. This part of Orlando hosts great shopping and dining sites only a few miles away from each other.

Inside Disney World Resort

For a Disney aficionado, this area is the best option to scout for a good hotel. It is obviously the closest to Disney World and they offer free shuttle services that run every thirty minutes. Disney hotels operate at the highest standards so there is a total guarantee for an excellent stay in Orlando. However, the hotel rooms only cater for up to four people in a single room and when compared to similar hotels outside the Disney World area, the prices are almost doubled.

Universal Area

There are also good options that can be considered in this district. However, not as many as there are in other areas of Orlando. As only a few hotels can be found here and there is not much competition going on between these places, the prices are really not that attractive.

Downtown Orlando

Visiting Orlando means visiting the theme parks and beautiful attractions that this city offers. So if you do not want to go through the hassle of long trips from your hotel to these theme parks and not to mention the time that you will take to travel thirty minutes to Disney World, it would not be the best option to have your stay downtown.

International Drive/ Convention Center Area

This area is just a few minutes away from SeaWorld so it’s a good choice for those who will be going to that park. However, the prices are a little expensive here and the amenities that the hotels offer are mostly geared for business travelers than for families.

Nevertheless, the place does have a lot of restaurants offering the most delectable cuisines, but you must make reservations. During the peak hours of dining, it is very difficult to find a seat due to the conventions going on in town.
