Visit Some Of Finland’s Main Tourist Cities


Helsinki is the capital of Finland and is quite popular with tourists. The city has many stunning architectural buildings such as the National Museum which tracks Finnish history from stone age times to the present day. There is also The Museum of Contemporary Art, Kiasma, the Natural Museum of Finland and the Finnish National Opera. Helsinki is located close to the Baltic Sea, so every year in October they host what is known as the Baltic Herring Fair when visitors can buy delicious marinated herring as a snack throughout the city. The market street Kauppatoni is also known for its local crafts, fresh fruits, and vegetables.

Tourists have recommended Helsinki as a good place to stay. Hotel Kamp is Finland’s grand hotel and is situated right in the heart of Helsinki. The Radisson Blu is a stylish hotel that is located opposite the Kamppi Shopping Centre and not far from the Metro Station. Hotel F6 is just next to the Esplanadi shopping street. These hotels have been rated highly by travelers for their design, exceptional service, and location.


Tampere is another city in Finland with many cultural attractions that provide great entertainment for tourists. One of the major tourist attractions is the Sarkanniemi amusement park. You will find the Nasinneula observation tower here, it has a revolving restaurant and overlooks Lake Nasijarvi. The Vapriikki Museum Center houses several museums such as the Natural History Museum, Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame and Finnish Museum of Games. There is also the Willa Kosmos Art Museum and educational center which is a place that would be loved by art enthusiasts. It would also be informative for the whole family because it presents facts about art which may help to encourage an appreciation for both art and artists.



There are some accommodations in Tampere that come highly recommended by other guests. Hotels like the Lapland Hotels Tampere which is located beside the Tampere Hall and not far from Tampere’s main street. The Holiday Inn Tampere is very close to the Tampere Central Train Station. Scandic Tampere Station is situated in central Tampere and is also located next to Tampere Train Station. These hotels are all in good locations and provide excellent service and amenities.
  
Espoo is the second-largest city in Finland and a popular location for tourists.  Some of these include the Stall Eqvus where you can go horseback riding, do horse-led skiing, they also offer sleigh or buggy rides and excursions for the family. Other places worth visiting are Storra Herro Island, The Children’s Theatre Hevosakenka and Saunaseura Spa and Sauna.

Several hotels in Espoo are spoken of favorably, by tourists. Among these are The Palace hotel Sello, The Scandie Hotel Espoo, The Art Travel Apartments, The Hotel Kprpilampi, and the Sokas Hotel Tapiola Garden.
